				| Just want to let whoever needs to know that the Microsoft SideWinder joypad isn't compatible with ME. Whenever I try to configue it, the selection box just starts jumping all over the screen and the menus scroll through themselves. It's weird. If anyone has a solution for this I'd be delighted- otherwise I'll just be patient for an update. Thanks,

				| Hummm.... I was, and still am a Sidewinder fan. I find it's design to be perfect. I had the old midi port version which I had for 6 years. Now that it's dead i've recently bought the usb version. BOTH of them work with every version of Magic Engine.
So, Windows may be at fault here. Can you use your Sidewinder with other emus & with commercial games? if not then you've found your problem, Re-install. If it works with other emus & commercial games then the fault lies in your pc's ( & your version of windows ) compatibility with the old DirectX3.

But remember : this is all speculation from my part...

				| Based on an earlier post I opened the pce.ini file and changed the "auto_calibration" setting to the value of "50"- no more problems. I have no idea why this makes a difference but it worked perfectly. My Sidewider (USB) work perfectly now (Win XP Home) which make me super happy. Like you, Jabberwok, I am a big SindWinder fan.
'Course I would have to use ME even if my SW didn't work- ME is the best TG16/PCE emulator out there. Thanks everyone.
