Can't autolaunch ROM

For some reason, Magic Engine will not allow you to launch directly into a rom by opening the rom file and choosing "open with" magic engine. It will load to the main screen and then you have to manually load it.
This becomes a problem with front end emulator GUIs like Hyperspin. Does this happen to anyone else? If so, is there a way to allow for ROMs to autolaunch into the game rather than having to load from the main menu of Magic Engine? Thanks!
