I come to you with the a simple question.

What happened to http://namida.com/kaminarimon/ ? Following that link leads me to a blank page.

I remember there being only two HES archives on the internet, the other one being Zophar's. About 6-8 months ago (as far as I remember), I was still able to download a couple of soundtracks from that site. But today, I can't seem to be able to access it.

I was planning on uploading those songs to Zophar, if only for the sake of having another source readily available for everyone and myself in case something like this happened. However, even the songs I downloaded were lost to a HDD crash.

I could've tried sending a PM to kaminari, but it seems he hasn't been on the forums for a solid 4 months now.

So... what should be my next step? Or is there any other complete archive out there? Google found me http://snesmusic.org/hoot/kingshriek/ , which I never knew existed, but it's far from complete.

Real life is getting in the way.

The Namida server was managed by a friend, but he apparently forgot to renew his domain name or maybe lost interest in his own long-term project (a Mobigames-like database for all Japanese games). Anyway, my music archive has been a bit obsolete for three or four years now. I might upload/update it elsewhere in the future. You can still access a mirror in my signature.

Meanwhile, Knurek will soon host his own HES sets with a different playlist format. I'm not sure where they will be available, since his previous hosts snesmusic.org and hcs64.com have dropped the ball.

Since the VGM format now supports the PC Engine sound chip, you might also see new music packs appear at VGM Rips.
