I dun wanna list the games that I had as hucards.. cuz back when i had an actual tg16 i had nothing but US-developed crap.... and no good games at all (no shmups, just bonk 1 was my only good game). but i also had a sega genesis and i had even worse games for that system (street smart, shadow blasters... those were my GOOD games) didn't even have sonic (although i borrowed it from a friend once). the lesson here is.. never let your mom choose your games!
anyway, thanks to emulation i've had the chance to try most every pce game that came out.. and from those, my top 5 would be
1) Zipang - IT's Solomon's Key!! a clone of one of the greatest puzzle games ever. Love it
2) Soldier Blade - my favorite shmup on pce.. more style (less substance than SSS) but i like this one the best
3) Cadash - Man this game is fun. If you can just get past the first boss then you'll love this game. furhtermore the weaker characters got much stronger in the pce version (mebbe too strong 
4) Bikkuriman world - Wonderboy!! loved playing this one as a kid in the arcades (two of my fave arcade games: wonderboy in monster land and DOUBLE DRAGON
5) Daimakaimura - Even better than the genesis version. amaazing port. if you take the time to master this game, no other action game is necessary in your collection |

I never was really big on more popular games like Legendary Axe and Bonk's Adventure even though they got rave reviews back in the day. I borrowed them from a friend once and wasn't really impressed with them. |
