				| Indeed. Microsoft don't promote OpenGL on their website. Their graphic drivers at windowsupdate.com are OpenGL-disabled. | |

				| Well I've been offline for a while because my wife wanted to upgrade to windows xp from win 2000; we did it but i lost a lot of stuff including magic engine and most of my games. So I've been spending time redownloading things and I've also been testing ME 1.0 PR8.
I DID finally download the drivers for my 810 video card from the Intel website. The first thing I noticed was that the GUI was fast and smooth instead of slow and choppy like it was before. However I didn't notice any increase in actual gameplay speed. But with PR8 I can put it on frameskip 3 and it's not too bad.

One thing is unusual though. Since I upgraded my video drivers, when I try to switch to full screen mode all I get is a black screen. Sometimes there is sound if I wait a while but it sounds slow. When I click on the button in the video config menu that says WINDOWED and I select 640 X 480 the emulator closes. Very weird.

I think when the Direct X gets added it will solve a lot of my problems. I am also very much hoping that David can add some filters like 2xSAI, Super2xSAI, SuperEagle and so on. That will give it a greater level of customization.

Well that's it for now. Thanks David for all your hard work and thanks to the members of this forum for being so helpful. Later

As far as I know, those filters cannot be included in commercial projects without paying a specific license.

				| Are you sure? Every other emulator I use (Gens, Snes9x, Zsnesw, Rocknesx, Jnes, Nestopia, FreezeSMS, Emukon etc. etc.) has them so why can't MagicEngine? | |
