				| Whenever I enable the Hi-Res filter. The emulator slows down from 60fps to about 35fps. Making the games unplayable at full speed. What do I need to do in order to use it?

 System:
 Athlon 1.2Ghz 1GMB
 ATI Radeon 9800 128MB

 Thanks,
 Sirynx77

				| Same here, except with vsync on it runs at 75fps but slows down to 37fps when I put that option on. | |

				| Case 1: Your CPU is too slow (hires is a resource hog right now, but it's improving). But if you're able to smoothly run other emulators like VirtuaNES with very intensive filters like hq2x on your config, then you should be able to use hires in ME no problem.
Case 2: You're trying to enable vsync on an LCD monitor in Fullscreen Mode. Not sure why, but vsync on an LCD screen seems to slow down the display a huge lot in fullscreen. It's not specific to ME, it happens with just about everything that allows you to enable vsync (I noticed this while playing at DOSBox and a couple FPS on the LCD monitor of a friend).

Case 3: I'm running out of ideas
