| The most recent demo version of MagicEngine does not recognize extended partitions. Is there anything I can do? |

Mmm, that's odd. No problem here.
What letters did you assign to your extended partitions? Did you enable them in your pce.ini file? Here is mine as example:
# ----
# load menu settings
# ----
[load]
;
; drive list
; --
; list of disk drives displayed in the load menu
;
drive_list=CDEVWJZ |
