				| Still not working at all for me so thought maybe the answer to the above question may help me out. Mine either crashes to Windows blue screen or just hangs at black screen. If it helps, here's the windows error (blue screen) I get when it crashes -
 File Name: IOS(01) + 0000186E Error: OE: 0028: C003C17E

None of which means anything to me. lol

 400mhz PII
 128m ram
 4mb Viper AGP video card
 DX version 9.0c
Windows ME (yeah I know, but thought I'd try it once)
Old, beat to hell, gameport Sidewinder

				| Yeah, but which model is your Diamond Viper exactly? I have the feeling it's an antique V330 based on nVidia's Riva 128 or TNT, in which case I'm not even sure that your drivers currently support OpenGL. You should go to Diamond and ask for the appropriate drivers while they're still in business.
Or you could go the bold way and use generic nVidia drivers, which do have optimized OpenGL support. Just make sure you know which graphic chipset you've got inside your card: Riva 128/TNT or Riva TNT2. A prayer or two might be useful as well, if you really expect ME 1.0 to run on a 25$ computer

				| Yep, it's the ol' viper 330. I've got all the latest, greatest drivers for it from Diamond. (such as they are lol)
No worries though because ME.99b5 works wonderfully on my $25 computer, cd games and all.
Matter of fact, I really couldn't think of much more that needed fixing other than a few small problems in a couple of games anyway. Guess I'll just have to use this new "fancy" version only on my computer at work. | |

				| I have a similar problem...
I use Windows Me and I have a onboard video card, very old, but I don't know if is that the problem. The emulator is not working in Win Me?

 File Name: IOS(01) + 00000EAB Error: 0D : 0028 : C003B7BB

 ME.99b5 works perfect!

				| Do you know the model/manufacturer of your onboard video card?
Your integrated video card drivers must support OpenGL at least semi-well for ME to work. If possible, try to update them to the newest version.

If that does not work, then you may need a slightly newer video card.

				| Tyrant-Br, Intel claims that the 810 chipset supports OpenGl... it's anybody's guess how well that support is implemented.

Which version of the driver are you running?
 To check do this:
 ************************************************************
 * 4. VERIFYING INSTALLATION OF THE SOFTWARE
 ************************************************************

 1. From the desktop, click on "My Computer", then "Control
 Panel", and finally, "System".

 2. You should be in the "System Properties" window. Click
on the "Device Manager" tab. From here, go down to
"Display Adapter" and click. The Intel(R) Graphics
Driver should be listed. If not, the driver is not
installed correctly. To check the version of the driver,
 refer to the section below.

 ************************************************************
 * 5. IDENTIFYING THE SOFTWARE VERSION NUMBER
 ************************************************************

 1. Select the "My Computer" icon, the "Control Panel" icon,
 and then the "Display" icon.

 2. You should now be in the "Display Properties" window.
Select the "Settings" tab and click the "Advanced"
 button.

 3. Select the "Intel(R) Graphics Technology" tab. The
graphics driver version should be listed on this screen.

Make sure that you are running the latest version: 6.7.
(This is your best hope, but there are no guarantees that this will help.)

If your drivers are older, then update your system with the drivers on this page:
 http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel810/
Follow the instructions in the readme.txt that comes with the drivers.

 Hope that helps...
