				| Sorry if this topic has already been asked but... I use a laptop and I was thinking it would be cool to use a USB gamepad for magic engine and just wondered if anyone knew of the best one to get.

				| Gravis Gamepad Pro is a nice alternative to the Sidewinder. _________________

				| I like the Interact AxisPad. It looks just like a playstation2 controller, and has both directional pad and dual analog joysticks. I have had mine for over 2 years, and never had a single problem out of it. _________________

				| The sidewinders is ok, the buttons are great but the D-pad sucks. It doesn't feel right, if you have one you'll know what I mean. I have a PSX to USB converter and it is awesome. Works excellent, no drivers needed. http://secure.fragism.com/store/product_info.php/products_id/40 There's another one for $15.99 called EMS USB2 which I don't have, I might buy it, it allows for two controllers at once. | |

				| I was just reading through this thread and thought I'd put in my 2 cents worth.
I have a Gravis Gamepad Pro (USB/10 Buttons)
and Windows98 sees the controler right away (Plug n' Play)
You might have to calibrate the d-pad a few times before it works the way you want it to

(which can be setup easily through Start -> Control Panel -> Game Controls)

For the price and the functionality, it's a good mid-range controler.
