Unfortunately, the PCE was never popular in north-america even I am one of the few proud owners of a PCE and still use them today if both CD-ROM were working. I could buy a new one from the net but, with Magic engine working like this, why should I ?
And no, im not an american and can't program very well, but why should I ? Registering Magic engine was the best use of 16$ I did in a long time ... |

Okay.. that's it.. we need to get a group of people together from north america (US, Canada) to start development of a PCE emulator..

If you're really serious about it, and before running on hot wheels, you could perhaps contact Charles McDonald and offer him your help on TGemu. Not really sure whether Charles is American or not, but what the heck. _________________ Kaminarimon HES Music Archive | Tokugawa Corporation | YouTube Channel |

Maybe.. But Dave has proven himself to be.. well.. a little unreliable..
I mean, he's in the scene, he's not.. he's done coding Final Burn.. He's not..
Plus he pretty much left his Genesis emulator unfinished, I guess I'd kind of expect a PCE emulator from his to be pretty much the same.
But I can't criticize too much.. I have a long way to go before I could even do half a working emulator. Some day though... some day.. _________________ Niobium

He was talking about Dave Shadoff.. A noted PCE hermit with credits to pcecp.com, huc, ME help to Michel, etc. _________________ Translation Projects: Xak 3, Ys 4, Ys 1&2 Complete

Probably because Jabberwok mixed up the two guys.
Why Dave (of Final Burn fame) should be interested in a PCE emu? |

Don't know.. But he is definately a talented coder and I'm sure if he got the urge he could make one..
But he would never finish it.. _________________ Niobium

I thaught the question was about an able 'american' programmer, not a PCE fan... And I WAS refering to Dave of final burn... Im just saying he has the talent and capacity to do one, not that he wants to ... |

Don't wory about it, I know im not allways clear so . Problem is good ol' Davie has the skills but lacks the motivation unfortunately Kind of like Steve snake of Kgen/Kega fame... Steve is an insane coder but systematically never finishes hes projects . I know he recently lost his Kega source code but this doesn't excuse Kgen.
I whould do one, Im north-american (canada) and a great PCE fan but I lack the skills to do one... the only games I can do so far are text-based adventure games wich no one likes since like 20 years ... |

Niobium, i meant Ozzy was referring Dave Shadoff (creator of the Kisado) since you wanted clarification. Who's friends with Zeograd, hangs out on UtopiaSoft, always offers PCE prgramming help to wanna-bes, etc. hence explaining his "pun" of dave. You can pretty much get the most PCE info from him & the guys @ #UtopiaSoft on efnet.
And yes, i can read, i saw the "Dave of Final Burn".
Anyway, so much for that... _________________ Translation Projects: Xak 3, Ys 4, Ys 1&2 Complete

Hmmm i'm sorry but i'm new to this forum. I'm not in the emulation in general though. I don't see the point of this topic (no offense) What's the matter if no pce emulator is developped by Americans peeps ? |
