				|
 |
				| I have a SyncMaster 753s CRT monitor with a resolution of 1024x768 (4:3 aspect ratio).

And in MagicEngine video options I have set 4:3 aspect ratio
 (which is the default setting).

When I play games (Splatterhouse, for example), the image seems to me just a little bit stretched horizontally. When I turn off aspect ratio in video options, the image seems natural, although the screen gets pillarboxed.

So, I can't decide which setting should I choose (4:3 or aspect ratio OFF).
Could someone who knows about this stuff tell me which setting should I use.

Also, does anyone know how these games looked like on the real turbografx
 console and television?

				| When I would play Splatterhouse or any other game on my old Duo, the screen always seemed OK to me. I always had it hooked up through the AV input on the TV. I can tell you how my monitor works. I have a widescreen HD monitor which I normally run in 1440 by 900. But when I run Magic Engine, I have it set to run in 900 by 660 in 32 bit, and fullscreen and I've never had a problem with it. You might try playing with different resolutions in Magic Engine's GUI. Or try running in a window.

				| Thanks, KingHanco! You have been very helpful.
I will turn aspect ratio off.
