I discovered my old cd for ys vanished and tried it out on the magic e, and found that when I reached the thieves hideout to enter darm tower the game would freeze upon Goban's last sentance. I thought it was my scratched up cd, so I downloaded an iso, burned it, found it to work, and found the game to freeze in the same spot. Is there anything I can do?

If you use the built-in Magic System, try with a real System Card ROM (either v2 or v3).

The game also freezes for me after Goban finishes talking. Kaminari, I'm afraid I don't understand your suggestion.

I have read some more on the subject since my last post so I have a better idea of what you meant. However, I am having difficulty located a "System Card ROM." I found the Turbo2k site and downloaded what they have but it doesn't seem to work.

So I'm not alone here... i Have exactlythe same problem. Also tried different Ys isos. I use MagicEngine 1.0pr10. This is kind of an old bug... how do I solve it?

It's a bug in the built-in system card that is very well-known. There is nothing you can do about it except use a real system card ROM (called syscard3.pce).

The PC Engine needs a BIOS (a System Card) to drive its CD-ROM. Magic Engine provides a virtual BIOS called the Magic System, but it's not perfect and some games work much better with the ROM of a real CD-ROM System. You must use that ROM instead of the Magic System for an almost bug-free operation of your CD games.

Googling for "syscard3" should get you on the right track.

Kaminari, thanks for your attention. Well, since the problem first appeared I've tried a different Iso. Then I found this topic, and tried to solve the problem with the new iso. The thing is, the new iso was broken!

Now, using the old iso, it works perfectly. Thanks a lot everybod!

hello I am new here I loved the turbo grafix games years ago and would really like to plat ys 1 and 2 again how do I run them on a windows system and is there any way to obtain ys 1 and 2 ?
