Definatly makes INI editing more intuitive for new Magic Engine users.

Actually.. I have this problem with my original DracX CD also.

I just chalked it up to a emulator bug, like the blue Richter bug. Waiting for 1.00 to fix it.. Smile

Give every configurable setting in the INI a place to edit it in the GUI.

First check in your INI file for...

drive_list=CDEF

Make sure the dirve letter for the firewire drive is listed in this INI field.

I don't think PCE CDs are region encoded.

I think it might have been a type of copy protection at the time.
Possibly a Error Correction track.

Maybe.. But Dave has proven himself to be.. well.. a little unreliable..

I mean, he's in the scene, he's not.. he's done coding Final Burn.. He's not..

Plus he pretty much left his Genesis emu ...

Okay.. that's it.. we need to get a group of people together from north america (US, Canada) to start development of a PCE emulator..

I'll have to give it a try... I think someone else suggested that emulator to me and it crashed out in XP.. but I could be thinking of a different PCE emulator..

Here is an interesting thought.

How about under the config option in MagicEngine's interface it actually has options for video,audio, path settings, and CD setup instead of just controllers.
